Rift Valley University News! The Rift Valley University 2024/5 Academic Year First Session Senate meeting was concluded this afternoon.

During the two-day meeting (Sept. 19-20, 2024), the Senators attended the Report presented by the Vice President for Open and Distance Education, RVU 2023/4 Academic Year performance evaluation report, Annual Plan for 2024/5 and strategies designed to survive and thrive in the challenging academic landscape.

The Senators critically deliberated on the presented Institutional documents and strategies and enriched them through active participation. After a long debate and discussion, the Senators approved them for use.

In his concluding remark, Professor Derebrsa Dufera, RVU President urged the Senators to make utmost effort to overcome the internal and external challenges RVU faces. Finally, the Senators vowed to implement the Annual Plan and strategies in the coming academic Year.
