Rift Valley University Addis Ababa & Shaagar campuses graduated more than nine thousand students who attended their education in TVET, undergraduate & graduate programs in Millennium Hall in the presence of H. E. Obbo Dinku Deyassa, the owner of RVU, dignitaries, RVU Board members, Senators, guests, RVU community & families of graduates.

The graduation commenced with the welcome speech by Professor Derebsa Dufera, RVU President. Prof. in his remarks emphasized efforts made by stakeholders to materialize RVU’s vision, & thanked the guests for coming. He reminded the audience about the contributions made by the founder & owner of RVU, & invited Obbo Dinku to make a speech.

His coming to the stage was applauded by the audience who were eager to see him after a long period. After making a brief speech, the owner invited Dr. Zelalem Mulatu, Addid Ababa City Education Bureau Head & guest of honor to make a keynote speech.

Dr Zelealem in his speech touched upon the favorable policies of the government that allowed private sectors to play their part in the process of fighting poverty & enhancing development. He also mentioned the ambitions of the government to attain quality education, & urged all stakeholders to play their part towards that end.

The guest of honor & leadership handed over awards & trophies to high-scoring students. One-third of the graduates of the day were scholarship students -either partially or fully. In addition, those who got trophies on graduation were given full scholarships.
