Rift Valley University Council conducted its biannual plan performance review

On April 6, 2024, Rift Valley University Council conducted its biannual plan performance review at its head office in Gotera, next to Nations, Nationalities, and People’s Square.

Professor Nigussie Dachassa, Rift Valley University President, chaired the meeting. Prof. Nigussie, in his opening speech, reminded the participants that the review process is a learning forum and informed the council members that the performance report should be presented in line with the annual plan.

Accordingly, he invited vice presidents to present what was performed in their offices. In addition, directors directly accountable to the President’s Office working on cross-cutting issues were invited to present their respective office performances.

The chairperson invited the council members to discuss the reports presented as per the schedule. The council members raised questions and gave constructive comments. The concerned organs gave clarifications and answers to the raised questions and comments.

Prof. Nigussie gave comments on the presented reports and suggested taking the challenges raised to the Managing Council to seek sustainable solutions.

The closing remark was made by Prof. Nigussie. In his speech, Prof. informed the Council members to work hard and materialize the remaining planned activities in the second quarter and expressed his readiness to back them with all necessary resources and guidance. The Council members expressed their satisfaction with the way the review process was undertaken and vowed to materialize the vision and mission of RVU.
