Rift Valley University Western cluster campuses namely Ambo, Shambu, Nekemte, Gimbi and Dambi Dolo have conducted in-house Research Conference on June 26, 2021 under the major theme “Quality of Higher Education for Sustainable development and positive Change”, and hosted by Ambo RVU Campus.
Cluster RVU campus staff, invited guests from RVU Head Office, public and private universities have attended the research conference.
Mr. Awake Yifru, Ambo Campus Dean made a welcoming speech and invited Dr. Senbeto Busha, RVU Vice President for Research, Community Service and Technology Transfer to make Key Norte speech.
Dr Senbeto in his speech underlined the commitment of RVU leadership to advance the culture of Research, the importance of empowering and improving the livelihood of the local communities through research, community Service and Technology transfer focusing on potential societal problems. Dr. Senbeto mentioned the initiative and the commitment of RVU leadership, which in many instances made RVU a much-loved and people-centered University in Ethiopia.
Two papers in the morning session, and nine papers in three syndicates were presented. Totally, eleven papers that covered wide ranging interdisciplinary subjects were presented and enriched through discussions. Most research papers were presented by scholars from RVU, public and private universities
Finally, certificates of awards were given to those who have presented papers and coordinated the Conference .Dr. Sebeto in his closing remark congratulated the cluster campuses, coordinators for committing their time, resources, and energy in materializing the best kind of intellectual exercise and encouraging the researchers to do more in the future.
